Cross-country skiing offers an alternative to skiing - cross-country skiing is considered one of the healthiest winter sports and is also great fun!
Whether alone or with the whole family, cross-country skiing is easy to learn and offers you the opportunity to explore the region as well as the fantastic nature and experience it up close! In Salzburg's Saalach Valley there are a total of 80 kilometres of cross-country ski trails available for free use, connecting the villages of Weißbach, St. Martin, Lofer and Unken.
A highlight for cross-country skiing fans is the high-altitude trail at Almenwelt Lofer with 2-4 km and the high-altitude trail in Heutal in Unken. The illuminated night cross-country ski trail in St. Martin is also very popular.
